As we all know that " We cannot hit a target if we cannot see the target ".

Goal give a sense of direction, purpose and meaning to life. So, Goal setting is the first step towards the ladder of success.

Now the question is ' How to set Goal ? '.
First of all we should know that goal setting is NOT a single decision rather it is a series of steps.

So, In here I'm going to share a SMART rule for  setting Goal .

S - SPECIFIC  :-

Goal must be to the point  for example "I want to lose weight" is a wishful thinking and it becomes a goal when the statement becomes " I will loose 5 kg in 90 days". In the second statement you are being specific with a deadline.

M - MEASURABLE  :-

Measurement is a way of tracking your progress. Always remember that ' if you cannot measure it, you cannot achieve it '. So, goal must be measurable.

A - ACHIEVABLE  :-

Achievable means goal should be challenging  i.e  it should be slightly out of reach, but not out of sight. Out of reach is motivating but out of sight is demotivating .

R - REALISTIC  :-

Realistic means the goal should not seems to be impossible, for example if you tell to lose 10 kg of weight in a single day then you are being unrealistic.

T - TIME  BOUND  :-

You should set a time limit to achieve the goal  i.e  a starting date and finishing date, otherwise you will  keep on delaying the task and waste time in procrastination.

So, this is the SMART rule to set goal.
Hope this will help you.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day ahead :)
